Mineral abundance maps provide a measure of the relative abundance of mineral within a pixel. Mineral abundance maps are produced for three mineral groups of similar spectral signatures.
AlOH minerals (kaolinite - muscovite)
Mg-Fe-OH mineral (epidote-chlorite)
Acid sulphate minerals (alunite-pyrophyllite)
Mineral abundance maps allow the user to identify the areas of the most intense alteration, thus refining the targeting process. Provided in MapInfo vector format.
